Nelamangala (Kannada: ) is a town and taluk headquarters in the Bangalore Rural district of Karnataka state in India. Nelamangala lies near the junction of two National Highways, NH-48 (Bangalore - Mangalore) and NH-4 (Mumbai - Chennai). Nelamangala Town is spread over 2.85km at an altitude of 882 metres It is located1330N 7714E / 13.5N 77.23E / 13.5; 77.23 According to 2001 census, Nelamangala Town has a population of 25,287, in which males constitute 51.89% and females constitute 48.11% of the population. The literacy rate is 87.25%. Nelamangala is located on NH-4, around 27km away from Bangalore city towards Tumkur and Mumbai. It has a beautiful park at Binnamangala, Vishwa Shanti Ashrama (a place for excursion and spirituality) with huge statues of Panduranga, Geeta Mandir, Ashtalakshmi Temple, Vinayaka Temple, the beautiful Vishwaroopa Vijaya Vittala statue along with a park to relax.
