Khachrod is a city and a municipality in Ujjain district in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. Khachrod is located at 2325N 7517E / 23.42N 75.28E / 23.42; 75.28. It has an average elevation of 485metres (1591feet). As of 2009 India census, KHACHROD town is situated at Center of Bombay-Delhi (WR) Railway rout, 14km near Nagda Jn.(Grasim Ind.) and 30km near Ratlam city, had a population of 65,000. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. KHACHROD has an average literacy rate of 64%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 74%, and female literacy is 54%.
