Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Ambajogai has an average literacy rate of 71%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with 58% of the males and 42% of females literate. 13% of the population is under 6 years of age. Ambajogai, is a city located in Marathwada region of the western Indian state of Maharashtra. Ambajogai is widely considered the educational and cultural capital of Marathwada.
