Khamgaon is an industrial town and an emerging corporate tehsil in the Buldhana district of Maharashtra, India. Khamgaon used to be the largest trading centre for cotton in Asia. It has a very extreme climate, the winters are very cold whereas the summers are very hot. Summer temperatures can go as high as 49C. There are also dry spells sometimes in summer.
