Dharmavaram (Telugu: ) is the third biggest town and a municipality located in Anantapur district in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India. Dharmavaram is now "Selection Grade Municipality", previous it is 2nd Grade Municipality. It is famous throughout India for producing silk sarees. The Dharmavaram Temples are important places of pilgrimage. Puttaparthi, the birth place and abode of Sathya Sai Baba is situated 42km from Dharmavaram.The Railway station is a major junction which falls in Wadi-Bangalore route and Guntakal-Tirupathi route and Dharmavaram-Puttaparthi route.
