Haflong is a town and headquarters Dima Hasao (North Cachar Hills) district in India in the state of Assam. Haflong is located at Coord |25.18|N|9E. It has an average elevation of 513metres (1683feet). Though there is no direct Air connection to Haflong, one can fly up to Silchar or Guwahati or Dimapur from where easy road & railway options to Haflong are available. Commonly spoken languages are Haflong Hindi, Dimasa,Assamese, Zeme Naga, Kuki(Thado), Hmar, Biate, Hrangkhawl, Vaiphei,Jaintia(Pnar),Mizo, English. As of 2009 India census , Haflong had a population of 35,906. Males constitute 45% of the population and females 55%.
