Rau is a sub urb and a nagar panchayat in Indore district in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. Rau is situated on National Highway 3 (NH3), Mumbai Agra Road (popularly known as A.B. Road) between Mhow & Bhanwar Kua area of Indore city near Rangwasa village. Off late it is one of the hot spots of Real Estate around Indore with many Educational Institutions opening up and construction of 4 Laned concrete Indore Bypass. The road connecting Pithampur (An industrial area of Indore region) to Indore Central, branches out from Rau, towards Pithampur from NH3 and is one of the first toll road in the country.
