Kulithalai (Tamil: "". http://ta.wikipedia.org/wiki/.) (also spelt as Kulittalai) is a city and a municipality in Karur district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.It lies along National Highway 67. Kulittalai is located at 1034N 7815E / 10.56N 78.25E / 10.56; 78.25. It has an average elevation of 86m (282ft). As of 2001 India census, Kulithalai had a population of 26,126. Males constitute 50% of the population and females 50%. Kulithalai has an average literacy rate of 78%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 84%, and female literacy is 73%.
