Kizhakkambalam is a GramaPanchayath in the Ernakulam district of Kerala, India, an eastern suburb of Cochin city. It lies at the intersection of major bus route from Alwaye to Thrippunithura and Kolenchery and the routes from Kakkanad to Perumbavoor or Pattimattom via Pallikkara. Pukkattupadi, Malayidomthuruthu,Chelakulam,Njaralloor Pazhanganad, Oorakkad and Thamarachal are parts of Kizhakkambalam Panchayath.Edathala and Vazhakulam to north, at the east Pattimattom, Pallikkara is in the south, and south west is Kakkanad. Kizhakkambalam has an overwhelming Christian population. Kizhakkambalam has 100% Malayalam speaking population. Kizhakkambalam was traditionally a Farming village but this has changed through the ages.Many Industries, like Anna,Kitex,Sevana, Blackcat,Wireropes etc. has come up and now 40% people are engaged in Company works.20% are Business men,10% each engaged in IT and Tourism.10% sustain buy the traditional agriculture while remaining composes of Teachers,Doctors etc.
