Jasdan (Gujarati: ) is a city and a municipality in Rajkot district in the Indian state of Gujarat. Jasdan is located at 2202N 7112E / 22.03N 71.2E / 22.03; 71.2. It has an average elevation of 193metres (633feet). Ghela Somnath Temple is situated in Jasdan.Jasdan is the biggest Taluka in Rajkot district and has 102 villages. As of 2001 India census, Jasdan had a population of 80,000. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Jasdan has an average literacy rate of 67%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 74%, and female literacy is 60%. In Jasdan, 15% of the population is under 6 years of age.
