Adampur is a city and a municipal council in Jalandhar district in the Indian state of Punjab. Adampur Doaba is located at 3126N 7543E / 31.43N 75.72E / 31.43; 75.72. It has an average elevation of 233metres (764feet). The nearest hill station is Dharamshala which is the headquarters of the Dalai Lama. Another hill-station around Adampur is McLeodganj. It is suited in the center of punjab & two main cities i.e.Jalandhar & Hoshiarpur. Clock tower of Adampur & Punjab khadi Mandal are one of the oldest buildings of this town. The Airforce base at Adampur Doaba is the second largest in India. There is a Khadi Bhandar innagurated by Mahatma Gandhi.
