Agartala (Bengali: Agortla, Kokborok: ) is the capital of the Indian state of Tripura and is the second-largest city in North-east India after Guwahati in terms of municipal area as Well as population. It is situated in North-east India. It lies on the Haroa River and is located 2km from Bangladesh. Agartala has temples and palaces.
