Aska is located at 1936N 8439E / 19.6N 84.65E / 19.6; 84.65. It has an average elevation of 30metres (98feet).It is situated at 40km from Brahmapur on West and 35km from Bhanjanagar on the East at the confluence of Rivers Rushikulya and Badanadi. NH-217 (Gopalpur-Raipur) is passing through this city appox 3 KM length. As of 2001 India census, Aska had a population of 20,718 (third largest city in Ganjam dist after Brahmapur & Hinjilicut). Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Aska has an average literacy rate of 72%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with 56% of the males and 44% of females literate. 12% of the population is under 6 years of age.
