About Baihata chariali ( Chariali )

Baihata Chariali (Pron: bah:t :r:l) is a town in Kamrup Rural district of Assam, situated on north bank of river Brahmaputra.Madan Kamdev archeological site built by Pala dynasty of Kamrup Kingdom is located here. The famous Gopeshwar temple is situated in village Deuduar near to Baihata Chariali. And Radha Kuchi is also situated in the north of baihata.Baihata Chariali is at National Highway 31 and is well connected with nearby towns like Rangia, Nalbari and Guwahati with road and Railways. The National Highway 15 is connecting Baihata Chariali to the Upper Assam via Tezpur. It is about half hour away from Guwahati. The Baihata Railway Station is at a distance of only 3 km from the heart of Baihata Chariali.
