Bhachau is a city and a municipality in Kutch district in the state of Gujarat, India. Bhachau was one of many devastated towns in the Kutch region of the Indian state of Gujarat, during the 2001 Gujarat Earthquake. As of 2001 it had a population of 25,389 in 5,703 households. Bhachau is located at 2317N 7021E / 23.28N 70.35E / 23.28; 70.35. It has an average elevation of 41metres (134feet). One of the historical places in Bhachau is the hill of Kathhad Dada.
