Bhucho Mandi is a Suburb town of Bathinda City and a municipal council in Bathinda district in the state of Punjab, India. As of 2001 India census,[1] Bhucho Mandi had a population of 13,183. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Bhucho Mandi has an average literacy rate of 63%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with male literacy of 69% and female literacy of 56%. 13% of the population is under 6 years of age. Mandi is in the peak of development and have become central hub in Punjab for its exquisite marbles, tiles and carpets work. The city has become the center for the trade for farmers coming from near by villages.Baba Harnam Singh chownk in Bhucho is the largest chownk of Punjab. Bhucho Mandi area has one of the biggest food-grain and cotton markets in Bathinda District.
