Bilara is a city and a municipality in Jodhpur district in the state of Rajasthan, India. Bilara is a Persian word derived from bilor which is the name of a diamond. It is also used in Urdu and Punjabi languages for 'something which is extremely glittery'. As of 2001 India census, Bilara had a population of 38,650. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%.
