Chatrapatti is a town in the district of Virudhunagar, Tamil Nadu. It comes under the Taluk of Rajapalayam. The village is characterized by a large number of surgical cotton industries. The exact history of this village is unknown. The village might have got its name from the Tamil word "Sattiram" (meaning: Choultry) and "Patti" (a suffix for a village).
