Chincholi (Kannada: ) is a panchayat town in Gulbarga district in the state of Karnataka, India. It is also the headquarters of the Chincholi taluk.
Chincholi is located at 1728N 7726E / 17.47N 77.43E / 17.47; 77.43. It has an average elevation of 462metres (1515feet). The town is spread over an area of 6km.
As of 2001 India census, Chincholi had a population of 17,158. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Chincholi has an average literacy rate of 56%, lower than the national average of 59.5%; with male literacy of 65% and female literacy of 46%. 16% of the population is under 6 years of age.
Chincholi Taluk borders the following taluks of Gulbarga district: Gulbarga Taluk to the west, Chitapur taluk to the south-west and Sedam Taluk to the south. It also borders Homnabad Taluk of Bidar district to the north and Tandur Mandal of Ranga Reddy district of Andhra Pradesh to the east.
