Ranchi  pronunciation (help·info) (Hindi: राँची, Urdu: رانچی, Bengali: রাঁচি) is the capital of the Indian state of Jharkhand. Jharkhand accounts for 40% of the mineral resources of India. Earlier most of the part in Jharkhand was covered by forest but now due to urbanization trees are cut and forest cover is depleting fast.
