About Cumbum

Cumbum is a census town in Prakasam district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is the mandal headquarters of Cumbum mandal in Markapur revenue division.[3]Cumbum is located at 15.5669N 79.1167E.[4] It has an average elevation of 184 metres (606 ft).State high ways Vinukonda-Nandyal and Kadapa roads, the Vijayawada-Guntakal railway line pass through the town.The town was an assembly constituency until 2009 in Andhra Pradesh.[5] Muthamulu Ashok Reddy won 2014 asemlby elections when Cumbum constituency was reorganized and merged in Giddalur constituency.
