Dhaura Tanda is a town and a nagar panchayat in Bareilly district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is situated 25 km from Bareilly in the west. The Ram Navami Mela fair has been held here annually since 1951. It is believed that some people from Nepal moved to the area in the early 19th century for trade purposes and settled permanently because of the quality of the land, water and favorable climatic conditions. These people were farmers or small traders. All these people who came from Nepal were Muslims by origin and their ancestral origin is believed to be from Afghanistan or Turkey. In 1830 Mr. Nayak Azim came to this land and settled here by establishing existing Nayak ji khandan (also known as kanjoos of dhaura tanda) of Dhaura Tanda. Nayak Azim was first landlord of the town and was declared as head of the town by British government in 1840. Shahzad Jan Suvidha Kendra is most Famous Shop of Dhaura Tanda.
