Alan Davies

Alan Roger Davies (ˈdeɪvɪs ; born 6 March 1966) is an English stand-up comedian, writer and actor. He has played the title role in the BBC mystery drama series Jonathan Creek since 1997. He has been a permanent panellist on the BBC panel show QI from 2003, only missing one episode in the D series because he did not want to miss his favourite football team, Arsenal, playing in the Champions League final the evening of recording. He did however make an appearance through pre-recorded material, which ended with him being teleported to the match as he tested his buzzer.
