Alberto Fernández

Alberto Ángel Fernández (alˈβeɾto ferˈnandes; born 2 April 1959) is an Argentine lawyer, professor and politician, serving as President of Argentina since 2019. A member of the Justicialist Party, he was Chief of the Cabinet of Ministers during the entirety of the presidency of Néstor Kirchner and the early months of the presidency of Cristina Fernández de Kirchner. He won the 2019 general election with 48% of the vote, defeating incumbent President Mauricio Macri.
