Arvind Ramalingam

Arvind Ramalingam is a director, producer and actor in the Tamil film industry, in addition to being an advertising professional. His debut film, Karma, was met with critical acclaim, and went on to be nominated in film festivals around the world.Early LifeAfter completing his studies in Coimbatore, he moved to Chennai to train in graphic design. After working with various top advertising agencies in Chennai he decided to start his own venture TCC in 2009, a full-fledged creative agency. Within three years, TCC grew to become the No.1 Independent Creative Agency in Chennai and Second Best Creative Agency in South India.He started Creative Criminal, a full-fledged film production house, primarily engaged in ad films and ad related videos. His big break came when he was appointed to direct a music video featuring Prabhu Deva for Boost. He has directed various TV commercials and has more than 100 creative awards to his credit, he’s been continuously ranked as one of the top creative professional in Chennai’s Advertising Industry.FilmmakingArvind finished the shooting of his first film in September, 2015. He directed, produced and acted in the film Karma, which was an innovative and experimental film in the Crime-Thriller genre. He acted in a double role, playing the only two characters who appear on screen throughout the length of the movie. He went on to be nominated for Best Director of a Foreign Language Feature Film at the Madrid International Film Festival, 2016, for Karma.
