Asin Thottumkal

Asin Thottumkal fondly known as Queen of Kollywood made her debut as an actor in the film Narendran Makan Jayakanthan Vaka (2001). It was not until 2003 she got recognized as an actor with the movie Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi which gave her stardom. There was no turning back after that and Asin was considered a very bankable star. She has had a good career studded with a lot of awards to her credit. Her maiden award was the Filmfare Award for Best Telugu Actress for Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi which has since been followed by many more. The iconic films in Asins career so far are Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi (2003), M. Kumaran S/O Mahalakshmi (2004), Ghajini (2005), Sivakasi (2005), Varalaru (2006), Pokkiri (2007), and Dasavathaaram (2008) to name a few. Asin daughter of Joseph Thottumkal and Seline Thottumkal, was born on 26 October 1985 in Kochi, Kerala. She completed her schooling at Naval Public School from LKG through X standard and then attended St. Teresas School in Kochi for her Kerala Higher Secondary Examination Board. She then went on to pursue her bachelors degree in English Literature from St. Teresas College in Kochi.
