Prof. Atul Kumar, a synthetic organic chemist, is Professor/Sr. Principal Scientist at Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research(AcSIR) Central Drug Research institute (CSIR-CDRI) at Lucknow, India. The Government of India awarded him the civilian honour of Padma Shri in 2007.
