Barkha Sharma

Barkha Sharma is an Indian fashion designer. She curates the men’s line labeled “Barkha ‘n’ Sonzal” along with her sister. In 2010, the duo styled santoor Maestros Pandit Shivkumar Sharma and Rahul Sharma for the patriotic song Mile Sur Mera Tumhara.Barkha’s label is the first to design a sherwani made of string beans, purple cabbage and green peas for PETA India,In 2014, “Barkha ‘n’ Sonzal” were nominated for the first ever International Woolmark Prize in the menswear category to represent India.Barkha under the label “Rhydhun” designs handicrafts created from all over India and various parts of the world.Barkha was recently invited to perform for Prince William and Kate Middleton upon their visit to Delhi, at the Hyderabad House. She played the tanpura along with her husband, santoor Maestro Rahul Sharma.
