Christian Charles Philip Bale professionally known as Christian Bale made his debut as an actor in the film Empire of the Sun (1987). It was in 2000 he gained wider recognition as an actor with the film American Psycho. There was no turning back after that and Bale at present is considered as a very bankable star. He has had a good career studded with a lot of awards to his credit. His maiden award was the National Board of Review Award for Outstanding Juvenile Performance for Empire of the Sun which has since been followed by many more. The iconic films in Bales career so far are Empire of the Sun (1987), Little Women (1994), Pocahontas (1995), American Psycho (2000), The Machinist (2004), The Prestige (2006), 3:10 to Yuma (2007), Terminator Salvation (2009), Public Enemies (2009), The Fighter (2010), American Hustle (2013), The Big Short (2015), Vice (2018), Ford v Ferrari (2019), and The Dark Knight Trilogy (2005-2012) to name a few. Bale son of a circus performer, Jenny, and David Bale was born on 30 January 1974 in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire. He attended Bournemouth School. In 2011 he was featured in the Time 100 list.
