BIOGRAPHY

Daniel Lebern Glover professionally known as Danny Glover made his debut as an actor in Escape from Alcatraz (1979). It was in 1987 he rose to fame with the film Lethal Weapon which gave him stardom. He has had a good career studded with a lot of awards to his credit. His maiden award was the NAACP Image Awards for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series, Mini-Series or Television Movie for Mandela which has since been followed by many more. The iconic films in Glovers career so far are The Color Purple (1985), Silverado (1985), Witness (1985), To Sleep with Anger (1990), Predator 2 (1990), Angels in the Outfield (1994), Operation Dumbo Drop (1995), Saw (2004), Shooter (2007), 2012 (2009), Death at a Funeral (2010), Beyond the Lights (2014), Dirty Grandpa (2016), and Sorry to Bother You (2018) to name a few. Glover son of Carrie and James Glover was born on July 22, 1946, in San Francisco. He attended San Francisco State University but did not graduate and he got trained at the Black Actors Workshop of the American Conservatory Theater.
