BIOGRAPHY

Dennis William Quaid professionally known as Dennis Quaid made his debut as an actor in Breaking Away (1975). It was in 1983 he gained recognition as an actor with the movie The Right Stuff. He has had a good career studded with a lot of awards to his credit. His maiden award was the Valladolid International Film Festival Awards for Best Lead Actor for The Big Easy which has since been followed by many more. The iconic films in Dennis Quaids career so far are Breaking Away (1979), The Right Stuff (1983), The Big Easy (1986), Innerspace (1987), Great Balls of Fire! (1989), Dragonheart (1996), The Parent Trap (1998), Frequency (2000), Traffic (2000), The Rookie (2002), The Day After Tomorrow (2004), Vantage Point (2008), Footloose (2011), Soul Surfer (2011), and The Intruder (2019) to name a few. Dennis William Quaid son of Juanita B. Quaid, and William Rudy Quaid was born on April 9, 1954, in Houston, Texas. He attended Paul W. Horn Elementary School in Bellaire and Pershing Middle School in Houston. He studied Mandarin and dance at Bellaire High School in Bellaire, Texas, and then he joined the University of Houston before graduating and moved to Hollywood to pursue an acting career.
