BIOGRAPHY

Edward Parker Helms professionally known as Ed Helms made his debut as an actor in the film Blackballed: The Bobby Dukes Story (2004). It was in 2006 he gained wider recognition as an actor with the series The Office. There was no turning back after that and Ed Helms at present is considered as a very bankable star. He has had a good career studded with a lot of awards to his credit. His maiden award was the Gold Derby TV Award for Ensemble of the Year for The Office which has since been followed by many more. The iconic films in Helms career so far are Blackballed: The Bobby Dukes Story (2004), Night at the Museum (2006), Evan Almighty (2007), Meet Dave (2008), The Hangover (2009), Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian (2009), Were the Millers (2013), Father Figures (2017), and Corporate Animals (2019) to name a few. Helms son of John Helms and Pamela Parker was born on January 24, 1974, in Atlanta, Georgia. He attended the Interlochen Center for the Arts as a youth and graduated from The Westminster Schools. He then joined Oberlin College as a geology major but later ended up graduating in 1996 with his B.A. in film theory and technology. He received an honorary Doctor of Fine Arts from Knox College in the year 2013.
