Syed Emraan Anwar Hashmi professionally known as Emraan Hashmi made his debut as an actor in the film Footpath (2003). It was in 2009 he gained world-wide recognition as an actor with the film Raaz: The Mystery Continues. There was no turning back after that and Hashmi was considered as a very bankable star. The iconic films in Hashmis career so far are Murder (2004), Zeher (2005), Aashiq Banaya Aapne (2005), Kalyug (2005), Aksar (2006), Gangster (2006), Raaz: The Mystery Continues (2009), Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai (2010), The Dirty Picture (2011), Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji (2011), Jannat 2 (2012), Hamari Adhuri Kahani (2015), and Baadshaho (2017) to name a few. Hashmi, son of Syed Anwar Hashmi and Maherrah Hashmi was born on 24 March 1979, in Bombay. He attended Jamnabai Narsee School. He then attended Sydenham College in Mumbai and later earned a bachelors degree from the University of Mumbai.
