BIOGRAPHY

Ewan Gordon McGregor made his debut as an actor in the film Being Human (1994). It was only in 1996 he got his first major breakthrough with the movie Trainspotting which gave him stardom. There was no turning back after that and Ewan McGregor at present is considered a very bankable star. He has had a good career studded with a lot of awards to his credit. His maiden award was the Empire Award for Best British Actor for Trainspotting which has since been followed by many more. The iconic films in Ewans career so far are Trainspotting (1996), Star Wars prequel trilogy (1999–2005), Moulin Rouge! (2001), Big Fish (2003) T2 Trainspotting (2017), Angels and Demons (2009), The Ghost Writer (2010), Christopher Robin (2018), Doctor Sleep (2019), and Birds of Prey (2020) to name a few. McGregor son of Carol Diane and James Charles Stewart was born on 31 March 1971 in Perth, Scotland. He completed his schooling at Morrisons Academy in Crieff. He then went on to pursue his bachelors degree in Guru Nanak Khalsa College but dropped out due to lack of interest. He studied a foundation course in drama at Kirkcaldy College of Technology and then went to London to study drama at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He was appointed as an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for services to drama and charity in 2013 and he received the BAFTA Britannia Humanitarian Award in 2016.
