Gary Leonard Oldman professionally known as Gary Oldman made his debut as an actor in the film Remembrance (1982). It was in 1986 he gained recognition as an actor with the movie Sid and Nancy. He has had a good career studded with a lot of awards to his credit. His maiden award was the London Film Critics Circle Award for Actor of the Year in a Supporting Role for Prick Up Your Ears which has since been followed by many more. The iconic films in Garys career so far are Remembrance (1982), Sid and Nancy (1986), Prick Up Your Ears (1987), The Firm (1989), Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead (1990), State of Grace (1990), JFK (1991), Bram Stokers Dracula (1992), True Romance (1993), The Fifth Element (1997), Air Force One (1997), The Dark Knight Trilogy (2005-2012), Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (2011), Darkest Hour (2017), and Harry Potter series to name a few. Gary Leonard Oldman son of Leonard Bertram Oldman and Kathleen was born on 21 March 1958, in New Cross, London. He attended the Rose Bruford College in Sidcup, Southeast London, with a scholarship and he graduated with a BA in Acting from there in 1979.
