BIOGRAPHY

Jennifer Gemma Jones professionally known as Gemma Jones made her debut as an actor in Kenilworth (1967). It was in 1995 she gained recognition as an actor with the movie Sense and Sensibility. There was no turning back after that and Gemma was considered a very bankable star. She has had a good career studded with a lot of awards to her credit. Her maiden award was the Clarence Derwent Award for Best supporting Female which has since been followed by many more. The iconic films in Jones career so far are Sense and Sensibility (1995), Bridget Joness Diary (2001), the Harry Potter series (2002–11), and You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger (2010) to name a few. Jones, daughter of Irene and actor Griffith Jones, was born on 4 December 1942, in Marylebone. She attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and won the Gold Medal there.
