BIOGRAPHY

Sahabzade Irfan Ali Khan professionally known as Irrfan Khan by his fans made his debut as an actor in the film Salaam Bombay! (1988). He got his breakthrough with the movie Haasil (2003). He has had a good career studded with a lot of awards to his credit. His maiden award was the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut for Deewana which has since been followed by many more. The iconic films in Irfans career so far are The Warrior (2001), The Namesake (2006), Life in a... Metro (2007), and Paan Singh Tomar (2011), The Lunchbox (2013), Piku (2015), and Talvar (2015), Life of Pi (2012), Jurassic World (2015), and Inferno (2016), Slumdog Millionaire (2008), New York (2009), Haider (2014), Gunday (2014), Hindi Medium (2017) and Angrezi Medium (2020) to name a few. Irfan son of Saeeda Begum Khan and Yaseen Ali Khan was born on 7 January 1967 in Rajasthan. He completed his MA in Jaipur before joining the National School of Drama (NSD) in New Delhi in 1984 to study acting. In 2011 he received Padma Shri award from The Government of India.
