BIOGRAPHY

John Joseph Nicholson professionally known as Jack Nicholson made his debut as an actor in the film The Cry Baby Killer (1958). It was in 1969 he got his first big acting break with the movie Easy Rider which gave him stardom. He has had a good career studded with a lot of awards to his credit. His maiden award was the New York Film Critics Circle Awards for Best Supporting Actor for Easy Rider which has since been followed by many more. The iconic films in Nicholsons career so far are Easy Rider (1969), Five Easy Pieces (1970), One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest (1975), Carnal Knowledge (1971), The Last Detail (1973), Chinatown (1974), The Shining (1980), Reds (1981), Terms of Endearment (1983), Prizzis Honor (1985), The Witches of Eastwick (1987), Batman (1989), A Few Good Men (1992), Wolf (1994), Mars Attacks! (1996), As Good as It Gets (1997), About Schmidt (2002), Anger Management (2003), and The Departed (2006 to name a few. Nicholson son of June Frances Nicholson and Donald Furcillo was born on April 22, 1937, in Neptune City, New Jersey. He attended Manasquan High School. In 1994, at 57, he became one of the youngest actors to be awarded the American Film Institutes Life Achievement Award.
