BIOGRAPHY

Jacob Benjamin Gyllenhaal professionally known as Jake Gyllenhaal made his debut as an actor in City Slickers (1991). It was in 1999 he gained recognition as an actor with the movie October Sky. He has had a good career studded with a lot of awards to his credit. His maiden award was the Young Hollywood Awards for Breakthrough Performance – Male for Donnie Darko which has since been followed by many more. The iconic films in Gyllenhaals career so far are Brokeback Mountain (2005), Zodiac (2007), Love & Other Drugs (2010), Source Code (2011), Prisoners (2013), Enemy (2013), Nightcrawler (2014), Nocturnal Animals (2016), and Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019) to name a few. Dennis William Quaid son of film producer and screenwriter Naomi Foner and film director Stephen Gyllenhaal was born on December 19, 1980, in Los Angeles, California. He attended Harvard-Westlake School in Los Angeles and graduated from there in 1998. He then attended Columbia University and studied Eastern religions and philosophy but later dropped out since he wanted to focus on acting.
