BIOGRAPHY

Jeffrey Warren Daniels professionally known as Jeff Daniels made his debut as an actor in the film Ragtime (1981). It was in 1983 he gained wider recognition as an actor with the film Terms of Endearment. There was no turning back after that and Jeff at present is considered as a very bankable star. He has had a good career studded with a lot of awards to his credit. His maiden award was the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series for The Newsroom which has since been followed by many more. The iconic films in Jeffs career so far are Ragtime (1981), Terms of Endearment (1983), The Purple Rose of Cairo (1985), Arachnophobia (1990), Gettysburg (1993), Speed (1994), Dumb and Dumber (1994), 101 Dalmatians (1996), Fly Away Home (1996), Pleasantville (1998), The Hours (2002), Gods and Generals (2003), The Squid and the Whale (2005), Good Night, and Good Luck (2005), Infamous (2006), The Lookout (2007), Looper (2012), Steve Jobs (2015), and The Martian (2015) to name a few. Shatner son of Marjorie J. and Robert Lee Daniels was born on February 19, 1955, in Athens, Georgia. He attended Central Michigan University and participated in the schools theater program.
