James Eugene Carrey professionally known as Jim Carrey made his debut as an actor in the film Finders Keepers (1984). It was in 1990 he gained recognition as an actor with the series In Living Color. He has had a good career studded with a lot of awards to his credit. His maiden award was the MTV Movie & TV Awards for Best Comedic Performance for Dumb and Dumber which has since been followed by many more. The iconic films in Jim Carreys career so far are Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (1994), The Mask (1994), Dumb and Dumber (1994), Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls (1995), Batman Forever (1995), Liar Liar (1997), How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000), Me, Myself & Irene (2000), Bruce Almighty (2003), Lemony Snickets A Series of Unfortunate Events (2004), Fun with Dick and Jane (2005), Yes Man (2008), Horton Hears a Who! (2008), A Christmas Carol (2009), Penguins (2011), The Incredible Burt Wonderstone (2013), Kick-Ass 2 (2013), Dumb and Dumber (2014), and Sonic the Hedgehog (2020) to name a few. Carrey son of Kathleen and Percy Carrey was born on January 17, 1962, in Toronto suburb of Newmarket, Ontario, Canada. He attended Blessed Trinity Catholic Elementary School in North York, Agincourt Collegiate Institute, and Aldershot High School.
