BIOGRAPHY

Joaquin Rafael Phoenix professionally known as Joaquin Phoenix made his debut as a child actor in the film Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (1982). It was in 2000 he gained recognition as an actor with the film Gladiator which gave him stardom. He has had a good career studded with a lot of awards to his credit. His maiden award was the NBR Award for Best Supporting Actor for Gladiator, Quills, and The Yards which has since been followed by many more. The iconic films in Phoenixs career so far are To Die For (1995), Quills (2000), Signs (2002), The Village (2004), Hotel Rwanda (2004), Walk the Line (2005), The Master (2012), Her (2013), Inherent Vice (2014), You Were Never Really Here (2017), and Joker (2019) to name a few. Phoenix son of John Lee Bottom and Arlyn was born on October 28, 1974, in Río Piedras district of San Juan.
