John Fiore is an American actor from Boston, Massachusetts.Fiore is probably best known for his recurring role as Detective Tony Profaci during the first eight seasons of the long-running NBC crime drama Law & Order and Exiled: A Law & Order Movie. His other notable television credits include NYPD Blue and The Sopranos as the mobster Gigi Cestone.Fiore played mob kingpin Vince Salerno on Guiding Light for 10 years.Fiore played Captain Womack on Person of Interest (TV series).In 2005, Fiore produced and starred in Johnny Slades Greatest Hits, which told the story of a struggling lounge singer who works for a Mafia boss (Vincent Curatola) and is forced to sing secret messages to other mobsters through his act. The film also stars former Sopranos alumni Vincent Pastore, Joseph Gannascoli, and Steve Schirripa.Fiore appeared in the Showtime series Brotherhood, in which he played Alphonse Nozzoli from 2006 to 2008. In 2011, he appeared in Body of Proof, in the episode Dead Man Walking.In 2014, Fiore appeared in an episode of Last Week Tonight, parodying his role on Law & Order.
