BIOGRAPHY

John Joseph Travolta professionally known as John Travolta made his debut as an actor in Emergency! (S2E2), in September 1972. It was in 1975 he rose to fame with the series Welcome Back, Kotter which gave him stardom. He has had a good career studded with a lot of awards to his credit. His maiden award was the National Board of Review Award for Best Actor for Saturday Night Fever which has since been followed by many more. The iconic films in Travoltas career so far are Saturday Night Fever (1977), Grease (1978), Pulp Fiction (1994), Get Shorty (1995), Get Shorty (1995), Broken Arrow (1996), Face/Off (1997), Swordfish (2001), The Punisher (2004), Bolt (2008), and The Taking of Pelham 123 (2009) to name a few. Travolta son of Salvatore Travolta and Helen Cecilia was born on February 18, 1954, in Englewood, New Jersey. He attended Dwight Morrow High School but dropped out as a junior at age 17.
