BIOGRAPHY

Julie Anne Smith professionally known as Julianne Moore made her debut as an actor in The Edge of Night (1984). It was in 1993 she gained recognition as an actor with the movie Short Cuts. There was no turning back after that and Julianne Moore at present is considered a very bankable star. She has had a good career studded with a lot of awards to her credit. Her maiden award was the Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series for As the World Turns which has since been followed by many more. The iconic films in Julianne Moores career so far are Tales from the Darkside: The Movie (1990), The Hand That Rocks the Cradle (1992), Vanya on 42nd Street (1994), Safe (1995), Nine Months (1995), The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997), Boogie Nights (1997), The End of the Affair (1999), Far from Heaven (2002), The Hours (2002), The Big Lebowski (1998), Magnolia (1999), Hannibal (2001), Children of Men (2006), A Single Man (2009), The Kids Are All Right (2010), and Crazy, Stupid, Love (2011), Still Alice (2014), and Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017) to name a few. Moore, daughter of Peter Moore Smith and Anne was born on December 3, 1960, in North Carolina, U.S. She attended J.E.B. Stuart High School and Frankfurt American High School. She then attended Boston University and graduated with a BFA in Theatre in 1983. In 2015 she was in the Time magazines list of the 100 most influential people in the world.
