BIOGRAPHY

Kodi Ramakrishna is an Indian film director and writer known for his works predominantly in Telugu cinema, and a few Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi films. One of the prolific film director in Telugu, Kodi Ramakrishna has directed a wide range of films, in a variety of genres such as drama films; Intlo Ramayya Veedilo Krishnayya (1982), Mangamma Gari Manavadu (1984), Thalambralu (1986), Aahuthi (1987), Bharatamlo Bala Chandrudu (1988), Station Master (1988), Muddula Mavayya (1989), Maa Aavida Collector (1996), Pelli (1997), and Dongaata (1997).Other notable works of Rama Krishna are Social problem films; such as, Ankusham (1989), 20va Shatabdam (1990), Bharat Bandh (1991), and Sathruvu (1991) for which he received the Filmfare Award for Best Director - Telugu. He directed Spy films; such as, Gudachari No.1 (1983), and Gudachari 117 (1989). Ramakrishna has directed supernatural Fantasy films; such as, Ammoru (1995), Devi (1999), Devullu (2000), Devi Putrudu (2001), Anji (2004), and Arundhati (2009) which won ten state Nandi Awards, and two Filmfare Awards South, and became the second highest grossing Telugu film for that year. In 2012. He directed Industry Hits Managamma Gari Manavadu and Muddula Mavayya, he received the state Raghupathi Venkaiah Award for his contribution to Telugu cinema.
