Lino Disalvo

Lino DiSalvo, is an American animator and film director. In February 2016, Lino signed on to develop and direct the upcoming Playmobil movie. The animated feature will be produced by ON Animation, known for The Little Prince, and is set to release at the end of 2018. Previously, he is known for serving as Head of Animation on Academy Award for Best Animated Feature winning film Frozen.DiSalvo graduated from Vancouver Film School and immediately began working for Walt Disney Animation Studios at the age of 23. Before Frozen, Lino worked as an animator on films like Meet the Robinsons, Chicken Little, and as an animating supervisor on feature films, Bolt and Tangled, where he was most involved in the animating of character Flynn Rider.After 16 years at Disney, DiSalvo was tapped by Paramount Animation as its Creative Director and director of a new animated feature film.DiSalvo, born in Brooklyn, New York considers himself an aficionado of Jim Hensons Muppets. He was first inspired to pursue animation after seeing The Lion King on the big screen in 1994. He now lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Rosanna, and their son Everett.
