Meg Ryan

Margaret Mary Emily Hyra professionally known as Meg Ryan made her debut as an actor in the film Rich and Famous (1981). It was in 1986 she received the breakthrough of her career with the movie Top Gun which gave her stardom. There was no turning back after that and Meg Ryan at present is considered a very bankable star. She has had a good career studded with a lot of awards to her credit. Her maiden award was the American Comedy Awards for Funniest Actress in a Motion Picture for When Harry Met Sally which has since been followed by many more. Meg Ryan, daughter of Susan Jordan and Harry Hyra was born on November 19, 1961, in Fairfield, Connecticut. She attended St. Pius X Elementary School in Fairfield and graduated from Bethel High School in 1979. She studied journalism as an undergraduate, first at the University of Connecticut, and then at New York University but dropped out before graduating due to her success as an actress.
