BIOGRAPHY

Michael Andrew Fox professionally known as Michael J. Fox made his debut as an actor in the film Midnight Madness (1980). It was in 1985 he gained recognition as an actor with the film Teen Wolf. There was no turning back after that and Fox at present is considered a very bankable star. He has had a good career studded with a lot of awards to his credit. His maiden award was the Bravo Otto Awards for Best Actor for Family Ties which has since been followed by many more. The iconic films in Foxs career so far are Back to the Future, Teen Wolf (1985), The Hard Way (1991), Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey (1993), Where the Rivers Flow North (1994), Coldblooded (1995), The American President (1995), and Mars Attacks! (1996) to name a few. Michael Andrew Fox son of actress Phyllis and William Fox, a police officer was born on June 9, 1961, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He attended Burnaby Central Secondary School. He has written four books: Lucky Man: A Memoir (2002), Always Looking Up: The Adventures of an Incurable Optimist (2009), A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Future: Twists and Turns and Lessons Learned (2010), and No Time Like the Future: An Optimist Considers Mortality (2020). In 2000 he was inducted into Canadas Walk of Fame and in 2010 he was appointed an Officer of the Order of Canada.
