BIOGRAPHY

Vishwanath "Nana" Patekar was born on the 1st of January 1951. He is an Indian actor, writer, and filmmaker, who predominantly works in the Hindi and Marathi industry. He won the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor and a Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Parinda (1989) and the Filmfare Best Villain Award for his role in Angaar (1992). He won the National Film Award for Best Actor as well as the Filmfare and the Screen Awards for Best Actor for his role in Krantiveer in 1994 and also won his second Filmfare Best Villain Award for his role in Apaharan in 2005. He is the only actor to have won the Filmfare Award for Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Villain categories and has been bestowed upon with the highest privilege in acting in 2013 when he was awarded the Padma Shri Award for his dedication in the field of Films and Arts.
